Why Mannar?

A full-circle
moment of love.

Roni's mother and grandparents were born and raised in Nanattan, Mannar — a community that remained deeply connected to our family even after building a life in Canada. Roni always had aspirations of one day going back to the same village his family came from — not simply to visit, but to give back to the children and families there and create opportunities for the next generation.

Although Roni never had the opportunity to make that journey himself, A Kid's Dream allowed us to carry that vision forward in his honour.

Returning to Nanattan was more than a humanitarian mission. It was a full-circle moment — going back to our family's roots, connecting with the community, and continuing Roni's legacy through service, education, kindness, and hope. 💙

The Journey

How A Kid's Dream unfolded.

The Vision

Roni always dreamed of returning to Nanattan — the village where his mother and grandparents were raised — to give back to the children and families there.

Carrying It Forward

A Kid's Dream was created to honour that vision — travelling to Mannar, Sri Lanka to deliver school supplies, financial aid, and hope to the communities Roni held close to his heart.

Schools, Supplies & Families

The team visited Mannar Association for the Rehabilitation of Differently Abled People, Nanattan Primary School, and Madukarai School — distributing 250+ backpacks and school supplies, food supplies, and providing direct financial aid to families in need.

300+ Lives Impacted

Through financial aid to families, school supplies, and community connection — over 300 lives were positively touched during the mission in Mannar.

Legacy Honoured

Returning to Nanattan was a full-circle moment — connecting with the community, and continuing Roni's legacy through service, education, kindness, and hope.
